The Kouvola garrison was built between 1911 and 1914 by order of Tsar Nicholas II as the base for the tsar's Russian occupation troops. The area has approximately 30 red brick buildings and an Orthodox church. |

The facilities are now in new use, after having been renovated respecting old traditions. An expert guide will lead the audience into the history of the area and at the same time to the history of Finland. During the tour a lunch will be enjoyed in distinguished settings in the Officer's Club rich in tradition.
