Cellomania

Cellomania is a duo formed by top Finnish cellists Jaani Helander and Lukas Stasevskij, who, in addition to their own compositions, play covers of pop and rock music, as well as game and film music. Their energetic performances have captivated audiences since 2019, when the friends, who once met at the Sibelius Academy, decided to put the limits of their cellos and playing skills to the test by making arrangements of the music they love across genre boundaries. The project has grown in a few years to include Ginette artist Petteri Mäkiniemi and electro artist Tuomas Ahva on stage. When all four players join forces in Helander’s work Towards the New Horizon, there will be rhythmic fireworks and a soundscape that is completely unique by any standard in the world.
