Kuutinlahti Concert

On 26.7.26 from 4-7 pm, the traditional Kuutinlahti Concert will be held in Repovesi National Park, concerts have been held for almost 30 summers.

This year’s artists, Arja Koriseva and Kyösti Mäkimattila, are familiar interpreters of emotions for years. Both artists are tango royalty; Arja is the 1989 tango queen and Kyösti is the 2013 tango king.

Kuutinlahti in Repovesi is a very special concert venue. On the northern edge of the bay is Kuutinvuori, which partially collapsed about 9,000 years ago, and on the opposite shore there are seats for the audience in a nature spectator. The performers will play music from the deck of the M/S Alexandra ship, and Kuutinvuori in the background offers particularly good natural acoustics. The audience sits on the opposite bank of the narrow Kuutinlahti Bay in a natural grandstand.
Ticket sales points are in Kouvola and Mäntyharju and also online at Ticketmaster. Those arriving by boat can also buy a boat ticket, which does not include coffee during the intermission. The walk from the gate and parking lot to Repovesi National Park to Kuutinlahti is about 3 km. A bus shuttle takes you there (walking about 150 m), €15 from Kouvola and Mäntyharju (must be booked in advance). You can also get there by the groups’ own buses, but reservations are required, Pia Liila 040 5968 097.

The area is a national park, so the terrain is uneven and without amenities. There are wooden benches and seating platforms, but it is also a good idea to bring your own equipment for the terrain.
