Village evening in Kaipiainen on April 28th at 3-7:30 PM
Kymenlaakson Kylät ry, Leader Pohjois-Kymen Kasvu and Kouvola Rural Services will be on foot at Kaipiainen School Tuesday April 28th, 2026 (Kujastentie 1, 46400 Kaipiainen, Kouvola). We invite village representatives and residents to discuss issues related to everyday safety and preparedness in the villages. You can also come and discuss other current themes and development ideas in the villages with us before the actual program. At the end of the evening, we will follow the Skilled Village Activist training. Coffee available at approx. 4 pm.
KyKy will be in the village at 3 pm->
Kymenlaakson Kylät ry supports village development work and aims to increase the vitality of villages, highlight the activities of the villages in the area, strengthen the expertise of the villages and promote the visibility of the villages. Kymenlaakson Kylät (KyKy) will start a tour in 2026 and will go on foot to the villages to discuss and hear the wishes and needs of the villages. Come and meet KyKy and Kasvu’s experts in diverse village activities and rural financing.
The theme is safety at 4:30 pm-5:30 pm
The Kymenlaakson Kylävara project will promote village safety work in a variety of ways until the end of 2027. During the evening, you will get an overview of village safety plans, village emergency houses and practical tips for progressing in safety work, and we will discuss village preparedness cooperation.
Remote viewing of the Skilled Village Worker training from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM
We are participating in the Skilled Village Worker training of the Finnish Village Association and the Finnish Association of Villages together remotely.
The topic of the training: Smooth and motivating board work
In the training, we will examine which factors create smooth and motivating board work in an association, and how tasks and division of labor could be developed so that responsibilities would be distributed more evenly and the continuity of operations would be secured.
