Virtakiven sauna
Brejlinintie 8, 45910 Kouvola
The sauna building at Voikkaan Virtakivi used to be a sauna for the employees of the Voikkaa paper mills. In 1925, the Voikkaa paper mill built a three-storey, 800-square-metre stone house designed by Armas Lindgren and Bertel Liljeqvist for its workers along the Kymijoki River, where they could take a sauna, do laundry and bake. Today, the building houses a café and a meeting room, while the sauna itself has been kept in its original location.
