There is more to see in the museum area than just the three period trading rooms and the café exhibition upstairs.
Downstairs there is an annually changing exhibition.
In addition to the carriage house, there is a children’s shop, a dairy barn, a café barn with various exhibits upstairs, a car barn with miniature models of driving wheels, a stable barn with a horse and other animals and old-fashioned tools. Cozy courtyard area, old church boat behind the summer theatre.
There are other things to see in the Valkeala district, Valkeala church, the wartime tank barrier area, cemeteries with memorials. Public buildings, Valkeala House, multi-purpose centre, Kustaankivi.
Other attractions: the Repovesi National Park, 45 km from the museum and the Verla Factory Museum 25 km.
The Valkeala Summer Theatre is located next to the museum area.
