Käyrälampi outdoor trail

The Käyrälampi outdoor trail is approximately six kilometers long and circles the entire Käyrälampi. The trail consists mainly of cinder-stone paths, tree-lined paths and light traffic lanes. It is accessible, meaning it can also be used with a wheelchair, rollator and pram. There are some steeper sections on the trail, where a manual wheelchair user may need an assistant. The trail is suitable for walking and cycling. There is a diverse forest along the trail, beautiful views of Käyrälampi and two river crossings. In addition, Käyrälampi offers a wide range of leisure and tourism services.

The trail runs from the beach in the forest on the eastern side of the pond and along the Jyräänjoki River to the Paaskoski Bridge, a distance of approximately two kilometers. From Paaskoski, the trail continues along the street network to the Käyräjoki Bridge on the north side of the pond, from where it returns along light traffic lanes to the southern shore of Käyrälampi.

There are three rest areas with fireplaces between Paaskoski and Käyrälampi, two of which are accessible. In addition to fireplaces and benches, the accessible rest areas also have groups of tables. There are also rest areas with benches along the route. There is also a barbecue area near the beach.

There is no wood supply at the fire pits, so please bring your own wood or charcoal and leave the forest trees alone. Please also take care of your garbage. There is no winter maintenance on the route.

The route is best accessed by walking or cycling, but parking spaces can be found around the Käyrälampi beach and at the northern end of Karimäentie. The route is marked with orange signposts. For more information, see the Käyrälampi outdoor route material bank.
