Karting SM Kouvola 2025 – A celebration of motorsports at Tykkimäki Circuit

The third round of the Karting SM series will be held in Kouvola from 4 to 6 July 2025 at the legendary Tykkimäki Circuit, known for its fast and technically demanding 1202-meter track. The event is organized by the experienced Kouvola Formula K Club, which has been promoting youth work in motorsports since 1978.

The competition weekend will bring together approximately 75 drivers from all over Finland, and a total of approximately 500 participants and spectators are expected to attend the event. Karting is a family hobby, and families, guardians and mechanics often accompany the competitors. The event offers experiences for all ages – both motorsports enthusiasts and first-time visitors.

During the competition, a variety of ancillary services will be available in the area, and accommodation and restaurant services in the Kouvola region will be actively involved in the event. Approximately 50 volunteer officials will ensure the smooth and safe implementation of the competition. The event will be organized responsibly and environmentally friendly, and it supports the strategic goals of the City of Kouvola in the development of children and young people’s well-being and event tourism.
