Timo Ryttäri says:
I am a 46-year-old interior designer and have been a photographer for dozens of years. My subjects have mainly been various nature subjects, but I also include material from urban environments, architectural photography and product photography. In my work, I approach subjects from an abstract and strictly defined perspective. The goal is to summarize a clear form, light or other visual observation and highlight it to gain a new perspective on conventional nature themes.
The images convey the confrontation between human power over nature and nature’s phenomenal ability to renew itself. The repair of human-caused damage depends on the time available.
The key question is, at what point is the time required for regeneration too long for humanity’s tolerance?
The series of works includes 9 Silisec prints 60 x 60 cm and a sculpture.
