Egotrippi on their first club tour in seven years – new music coming early this year!
Egotrippi, known for their numerous hits, will embark on their first club tour since 2018 in the spring of 2026. The Jossain täyttä olla päivänvaloo tour, which will include almost twenty concerts, is named after the band’s new song to be released early this year. Both the new single and the tour’s gigs offer the opportunity to hear the band, which recently announced a line-up change, in its new and at the same time classic line-up.
Egotrippi, known for their hits such as Matkustaja, Mestaripiirros, Unihiekkaa and Älä koskaan äinen – will release new music for the first time in seven years in early 2026. The single “Somewhere there must be daylight” is pushing the band towards the spring tour of the same name.
– Fingers are itching to get to the clubs, we’re going towards a hot summer and light, the band describes their mood.
On the spring tour and the single at the beginning of the year, Egotrip will be heard in its new line-up. Risto Niinikoski, who has played drums in the band since 2013, left and was replaced by Sampo Haapaniemi, who played in Egotrip from 1996 to 2013. Next year will mark 30 years since Haapaniemi first joined the band.
– Exactly 29 years ago, I first met these guys and that was the beginning of quite a journey. Lots of gigs, albums and big hits, but above all, making music together, which made me the musician I am today. When Risto announced that he was quitting and I was asked to join, I didn’t have to think long. Here we go again!, Haapaniemi says.
Egotrippi, which has sold double platinum, platinum and gold during its career, released its debut album in 1995. The band, known for its many hits, last released new music in 2018, when the Vihelellen EP saw the light of day.
In 2020, the album Aina matkalla jonnekin was released, which contains 13 Egotrippi classics arranged for a symphony orchestra. In autumn 2025, you can enjoy new versions of Egotrippi songs and Mikki Kaustie’s interpretations in the Vain elämää program.
