Old Mill of Jokela

Located by rushing rapids in Valkeala, Jokelan Vanha Mylly tells the story of the region’s long history of milling. Built in 1845, the mill served local farmers for decades and opened as a museum in 2026.

The mill has preserved original structures and equipment, which help visitors learn about the history of grain processing and old milling technology. Visitors can also explore two exhibitions and enjoy the surrounding nature and river scenery.
