Opening of the Mustaojanniemi barbecue place

Welcome to spend a nice afternoon in Mustaojanniemi!

The Ummeljoki Village Association invites all villagers and those interested in the area to the opening of the Mustaojanniemi barbecue area on Saturday, June 13, 2026 from 1–3 pm as part of the Open Villages Day.

On-site:

*  Getting to know the new barbecue area
*  Discussion about the upcoming Mustaoja outdoor trail
*  Opportunity to meet village association activists and other villagers
*  Small snacks for small change (bring cash with you)

Sausages are safely grilled on a gas grill even during a possible wildfire warning.

The Mustaoja outdoor trail is implemented by the City of Kouvola. The Ummeljoki Village Association participates in the implementation of the outdoor trail with volunteers. The project is funded by atNorth.

Note! The barbecue area may not be completely ready on opening day, but that’s exactly why now is a good time to come and hear about the project, plans and what’s coming to the area in the future!
