Block of Flats

A newcomer to alternative rock, Block of Flats from Porvoo, combines catchy pop hooks, imaginative arrangements and an electronic sound in their music, producing stylishly executed modern rock. The band is known for their energetic live performances, which the band has had time to do extensively both around Finland and abroad.

Block of Flats signed a recording contract with Ranka Kustannus in the fall of 2022, and their debut album “No Hope For The Hopeless” was released in late 2023. The album’s first single, “Feels Like”, already received huge attention in the media and on domestic radio stations: it was listed by YleX as one of the best domestic rock releases of the year, among others. The following singles “Black Swan”, “Dead Inside” and “Lake of Fears” have been rocking international playlists since their release and have garnered listeners as far away as Europe and the United States. The buzz around the band is growing all the time, making it one of the most interesting newcomers to the Finnish rock and metal scene.
