There’s something about this that will make your legs flutter and your dancing feet shake. This band needs no introduction, as the history of its members is like a hall of fame in Finnish rock music:

The band, which started in 2008, was originally founded under the name Joey Luumäki & Tappajatomaatit for charitable purposes to support ramo culture. Because the joy of playing took over, the band decided to continue, shortened their name to Tappajatomaatit and created a real supergroup of Suomirock!

What’s coming up?

Tappajatomaatit is a group that combines catchy melodies, energetic playing and brilliant lyrics. Their own motto sums up everything that is essential: ALWAYS ROCK, SOMETIMES EVEN PUNK!

The band has released two hard-hitting full-length albums; The debut LP “Villi itä” (2010) and the more mature, but at least equally fast-paced LP “Mustan aukon paluu” (2019).

Founded in 2018, Saattohoito79 is a band that has drawn its nourishment from the concrete jungle of Kouvola and the artistic heritage of punk at the turn of the 70s and 80s. The band’s sound includes the melody of the new wave and spices from different trends in punk! “It’s biting, raw and authentic, punk that goes its own way” – Jukka Junttila/ Hiljaiset Levyt

The band has released three strong full-length albums this decade, the last two of which were released on the Hiljaiset Levyt label, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year!

The third LP “Nämä valvartut yöt” released in spring 2025 received convincingly unanimous four-star overall reviews from critics! In the songs, the distortions of society, the storms of relationships and the dim glow of decadent romance intertwine into stories that are partly raw and telling, partly beautiful, about the turmoil of life! Although the vinyl sounds great, Saattohoito79 is in its element where sweat flows and PA equipment screams for mercy! The music has been heard on the radio and can also be found on streaming services! Katujen Äänet’s sound echoes influences from the golden age of new wave, and the band’s motto is: “What worked in the 70s and 80s still works. Except for the Soviet Union.”
