Holy Dolls – Raging Heads 2.0
Tampere band legend Pyhät Nuket is back on the road with a new, tough lineup.
Pyhät Nuket was originally formed as a side project of the band Riistetyt under the name Holy Dolls in 1983. The band’s debut album “Kuoleman Sotatanssi” was released in 1984 and the same year they went on an extensive US tour, which already gained almost mythical fame. Pyhät Nuket enjoyed their greatest commercial success with their second album “Enkelit Sulkivat Silmänsä”, released the following year. The band released the maxi-single “Tuhlaajapoika” in the same year, the opening track of which, “Syyskuu”, became the most famous song of the line-up at that time.
Raivopäät 2.0 is a band founded in 2022.
Raivopäät was a punk and Finnish rock band from Kouvola, which was founded in 1993. The band ceased operations in 2013.
Olska (1997-2010) and Mulder (1999-2008), who were members of Raivopäät, ended up in the same band called KIPEET. As the band’s activities faded, the idea of reviving Raivopäät arose. The shared interest in playing Raivopää’s own and older productions prompted a survey to see if others would be interested in the project.
Some have already changed dioceses and some were unable to join for other reasons.
Mikko “Cake” Karhu and Jahve Manninen, who had already played in Kipei and other bands together, joined on drums and second guitar. Jussi, who has been involved in Raivopäät’s activities over the years and was suggested by Ace, was chosen as the vocalist.
The purpose of the band is to awaken the listeners to Raivopäät’s own and old production in the form of gigs, and to convey to the youth that such a melodic punk band has also had an impact in Kouvola.
It was decided to continue the activities under the name Raivopäät 2.0 due to the small number of original members.
