MXGP is coming to KymiRing!

The opening ceremony of the race weekend will be held at Kouvola City Hall on Friday 11 July at 6:00 PM. The ceremony will be attended by, among others, the promoter of the World Championship, David Luongo, and the CEO of KymiRing Oy, Kornél Őry.

There will be a drivers’ Meet & Greet in front of the City Hall, where you can meet, among others, the Husqvarna team’s last year’s MX2 class world champion Kay de Wolf, motocross legend Stefan Everts’ son Liam Everts, last year’s Finnish champion Miro Varjonen, and Nico Stenberg, who is currently leading the MX2 class Finnish Championship.

The FIM Motocross World Championship, MXGP, is the most prestigious series in international motocross, and is now in its 68th season. The championship consists of two main classes: MXGP and MX2. The MXGP class uses motorcycles up to 450cc, and riders of all ages can participate. The MXGP Championship follows a global calendar with 20 races around the world, including traditional European circuits as well as venues in Argentina, Indonesia, Turkey, China and Australia. One of the races will be held at KymiRing on July 12-13, 2025!
