InkJazz

This year, InkJazz offers a great combination of the best of international and domestic jazz. The main soloists are Tim Hagans, one of the world’s leading jazz trumpeters, the talented and expressive singer Susanna Aleksandra from Tallinn, and guitarist Raoul Björkenheim, who has had a long international career in the form of modern jazz. The rhythm section includes Riitta Paakki, a trusted pianist for numerous singers and bands, Mikael Saastamoinen on bass and the energetic Okko Saastamoinen on drums. The group is brought together by artistic director, saxophonist Jari Perkiömäki.

Tickets are also sold one hour before the concert at the door, if there are tickets left. Free admission with a youth K9 culture card, if there is space at the concert. Advance notice is recommended.

SCHOOL CONCERTS

InkJazz school concerts for 4th grade students on Friday, August 22nd at 10 and 11:30 a.m. in the Kuusankoski Hall concert hall. Concert duration 30 min. The concert offering is part of Kouvola’s cultural education program Lennokki’s music education and at the same time provides an opportunity to get acquainted with high-quality jazz music.
