Finnish Military Intelligence 1939-1945
Toni Mononen
“Military intelligence served as the eyes and ears of the Finnish army throughout World War II. Wars and peace, offensive and defensive battles, and Germany’s transformation into an enemy in the fall of 1944 forced military intelligence to develop in line with changing situations.
The book, to be published at the end of September, offers the first comprehensive description of the Finnish army’s military intelligence from the fall of 1939 to the fall of 1945. Through intelligence operations, the reader also gets a glimpse of today’s military intelligence, which has been brought to the forefront by the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East.
The work is written by Doctor of Military Science Toni Mononen, a leading figure in the history of Finnish military intelligence Docent at the National Defence University. His research has comprehensively examined the activities of military intelligence during the Second World War. In 2022, he also co-authored with Mikko Karjalainen the book Mannerheimin sotaito.”
I don’t know if it has been advertised, but I may bring with me a very small quantity of this book for sale, as well as a few other works for which I have written articles in recent years.
