TUMPPI VARONEN’S 70TH BIRTHDAY – CELEBRATION GIGS IN SEPTEMBER 2026!

Time passes and changes – but some things remain. The cornerstone of Finnish punk and street-credible rock, Tumppi Varonen, turns 70 in September.

The milestone will be celebrated with a six-city anniversary tour, where a unique lineup of Finnish rock legends will take to the stage. The anniversary tour will feature: Tumppi Varonen & Problems, Kärtsy Hatakka (Waltari) and Pelle Miljoona.

The evenings combine sensitivity and electric power. The setlist includes songs that have been with us through the decades – songs about the streets, love, survival and time that leaves its mark but does not take away what is true.

The setlist includes: Katupoikien laulu, Tahdon rakastella sinua, Lanka palaaa, Maanantaina, Mun tie and Ei tää lama käähän käytä.

In addition, the audience will experience rare commonalities when Pelle Miljoona, together with Problems, performs songs from his 1980s and Oy eras – eras that shaped the history of Finnish rock.

The autumn 2026 anniversary tour is a tribute to time, friendship, music and those songs that do not disappear.

Tickets €35/€32. Discounted price for students, under 16s, unemployed, pensioners, Kymijoki Taidepato ry 2026 support members and Kunto-Mekka customers (valid customer card).

Two-friend ticket €60 (entitles two people to simultaneous entry. Two-friend ticket only available in advance).
