Repovesi and Verla Area

Repovesi National Park is an award-winning destination for the whole family. In Repovesi you can hike and trek through the park’s rugged landscapes, but don’t forget to try mountain biking or even canoeing.

In addition to the Ankkapurha Youth Center, you will find a wide range of activities in the Ankkapurha area. Located by the Kymi River, Ankkapurha also provides an interesting glimpse into the industrial heritage and history of the Kouvola region.

Kimola Canal

The former timber floating canal was opened to boaters in 2020. The Kimola canal opened in 1966, and the last logs were floated through the canal in 2002. Now boaters can travel through the same tunnel that the logs used to go through. The canal opened a new boating route from Päijänne to Kouvola.
