Anjala Manor

The story of Anjala’s historic manor house, located on the grounds of the Ankkapurha Youth Centre, dates back to the 17th century, when Henrik Wrede sacrificed his faithful steed, and his own life, for King Charles IX of Sweden. Since then, the manor has been an important part of life in Anjala. Today, the manor is full of stories, atmosphere and, of course, history.

Anjala Manor is open to the public during the summer, when it hosts various art and history exhibitions. During the summer, guided tours of the manor are organised regularly. Guided tours can be booked online during the summer season at Ankkapurha’s online shop.

Free admission to the manor and the various exhibitions is possible during the manor’s opening hours.
