Holy Cross Church

Kirkonmäenkatu 2, 45100 Kouvola

The Holy Cross Church in Kouvola was built as an orthodox Russian garrison church in 1913-1915 and consecrated in 1916. After Finland’s independence, the church became the property of the Finnish state and was re-consecrated as an Evangelical Lutheran church. The church served in this capacity until 1978.

The church was donated by the Evangelical Lutheran parish of Kouvola to the Orthodox parish of Hamina in 1981.
