Kouvola has 20 or so public beaches for bathing in the summer. The most popular beaches in terms of numbers of visitors are Käyrälampi beach, Urajärvi in Iitti, Särkät beach at Lappalanjärvi and Venna beach at Haukkajärvi in Utti. The water quality at the beaches is checked regularly.
