Along the Kymijoki River
The area of Kymijoki
Our own river is Kymijoki. It flows through the Province of Kymenlaakso into the Gulf of Finland. It is a popular river for fishing; pikeperch, asp and rainbow trout leap in Kymijoki, as well as sea trout and grayling. In the rapids sections of the river, you can practise floating and shooting the rapids. Those living on its shores go swimming both in summer and winter.
