There is no light without darkness. José’s Pimeä Puoli explores the dark side of life, sometimes laughing, sometimes crying, sometimes ironically. A raspy rhythm beats in the background.

José’s Pimeä Puoli band’s gigs are known as unique voyages of discovery thanks to their passionate spontaneity, strong presence and emotional lyrics. The band returns to the roots of music-making, the playing of which conveys sincere joy.

The band’s debut album Ihanasti kyyninen (2018) was followed by the Ohikulkija album (2024), which is a full-blooded road movie. Its stories involve an open heart traveling amidst dark melodies. In addition to these, the discography also includes popular singles such as Mustana with Paleface and Marty McFly, which broke the million-stream mark.

Josén Pimeä Puoli released a new single Jännä fiilis in August 2026, which heralds the album Mustalla tussilla, which will be released on September 25. The upcoming album combines the ironic lightness of the debut album Ihanasti kyyninen and the dark stories of the Ohikulkija album. It promises crazy and emotional stories, of which Jännä fiilis gives the first taste.
