Volucrine Chapter V: Renewal (Record Labels) – Memoir
Volucrine is an alternative metal collective from Kymenlaakso-Päijät-Häme, founded in 2009, which will release its fifth full-length album “CHAPTER V: RENEWAL” (release date 25.9) via Inverse Records and will head to selected gigs in the fall of 2026.
After the album “ETNA” (2024), which garnered a lot of positive attention worldwide, the veteran band of modern alternative metal returns to its roots to explore the human journey from the emptiness after loss to regaining the grip of life.
The singles “GOLEM”, “TALK” and “VOLUCRINE” released from the album this year underline the band’s versatile expression, emphasizing the bold testing of boundaries within their genre. The band focuses on their lyrics, which, due to their deeply personal nature, give the band’s music a human face.
Memoira is a Finnish symphonic and melodic metal band founded in 2007.
Known for their large, atmospheric and epic soundscape, Memoira combines powerful melodic metal with symphonic and ethereal orchestrations into one continuous flow of storytelling. Since 2023, the band has operated with its current lineup, with Krista Astrid Schröter as the vocalist. The renewed lineup has brought new energy to the band’s sound and stage performance.
The singles Cryonic Heart (2024) and Emerald Eyes (2024) and the EP Dollmaker (2026) released with this lineup have increased the band’s audience and visibility. The band’s most recent release is the single IKIGAI (Memories) (2026). The publication celebrates life and memories and opens the door to a well-known Japanese philosophy of life.
