Presentation of the opera Onnenvirta

We will tell the story of the creation and background of the new opera through short speeches and interviews, as well as by performing the opera’s music. The interviewee is the opera’s composer Auri Helena Nikkinen. Eini Annukka Perälä will speak about the creation of the opera’s script on the theme of Grandma’s Poem Book, Cultural Counsellor Eero Niinikoski on the topic of Gösta Björkenheim, patronage and philanthropy, and Educational Counsellor Sakari Viinikainen on the topic of The Power of Collaboration. The music at the event will be performed by sopranos Matilda Nikkinen and Eini Annukka Perälä, tenor Matti Skyttä and baritone Ville Perkkiö. The pianist is Pekka Soranummi. The opera’s second pianist is Esa Ylönen and it will be starred by Marika Hölttä and Jussi Vänttinen, who have risen to the singing elite through the Lappeenranta singing competitions.
