Saimaa’s Matka mielen ytimeen Vol. 2 album release tour arrives in Kouvola on September 19th.

Saimaa, one of Finland’s most dazzling live bands, will release a new album Matka mielen ytimeen Vol. 2 on May 15th and head out on a record release tour with it! The band will arrive at Kouvola’s House of Rock on Saturday, September 19th.

Saimaa returns to amazing versions with the Matka mielen ytimeen Vol. 2 album. The album has so far released singles ‘Hipit rautaa’, ‘Sotilaat, kansat, maat’, ‘Finlandia’ and ‘Yks ja yks’.

Saimaa, a group of top musicians, has a liberated and unrestricted musical adventure. Although the band draws influences from classic rock, prog, folk and pop, the end result is an easily approachable and catchy ensemble.

The band, led by Matti Mikkola, released two five-star albums (Vol. 6 & Vol 7) in 2024 within six months and toured sold-out venues around Finland. Known as a ravishing live band, Saimaa’s Vol. 6 and Vol. 7 albums received exceptional acclaim from both the media and the public. The band also won the Pop of the Year Emma award for their work.
