Vuohijärvi Culture House – Reidar Särestöniemi Experience

Welcome to a cultural visit to Vuohijärvi, on the edge of Repovesi National Park. Vuohijärvi Culture Center is an art destination and a place to unwind, located about a 40-kilometer drive from the Salmela Art Center. In Vuohijärvi, you can admire Reidar Särestöniemi’s magnificent works in a unique setting.

Completed in 1966, the building—which previously served as a church—was designed by architect Väinö Vuorinen. In addition to the exhibition, visitors can enjoy the museum shop and Café Kaakkuri under the same roof.

The Cultural Center’s facilities are available for rent, for example, for parties and meetings outside the summer season—please ask for more information!

You can find opening hours online.
