Kouvola’s most popular swimming beach attracts visitors from near and far during summer heat. In addition to swimming, you can explore the refreshing waters of Käyrälampi by stand-up paddleboarding or kayaking.
You don’t need to own equipment, as it can be rented on-site from Saimaan Palju or Tykkimäki Beach rental points. There’s equipment for every need! You can spend an hour or two in the splashes of the Aquapark and enjoy the sauna at Tykkimäki Sauna.
If you prefer to spend your time on dry land, there are also activities available. At Käyrälampi, there are beach volleyball courts, a picnic area with grilling spots, and a dog park where dogs can splash in the water. Käyrälampi DiscGolfPark is located on the other side of Highway 15, accessible via underpass from the parking areas of Käyrälampi. At Tykkimäki Resort, you can play a game of padel. The Tykkimäki Amusement Park is just a few hundred meters from Käyrälampi, easily accessible by walking over the bridge directly across the highway.

Lammenranta Kitchen & Bar next to the Aquapark serves delicious dishes for all ages, and at Tykkimäen Sauna, you can dine alongside sauna and swimming activities. Year-round services are provided by Tykkimäki Sauna with its ice swimming facilities and Tykkimäki Resort with its restaurants. From the swimming beach at Käyrälampi, there is an accessible outdoor trail of about 1.5 km long with rest areas leading to Paaskoski. In winter, the ski trail between the city center and Valkeala runs through Käyrälampi, easily accessible directly from your accommodation or by car from a bit farther away.
