From Lily of the Valley to the Cat’s Bell – Photo Exhibition

Unto Mentula’s documentary photography exhibition focuses on plants collected and pressed for school theses. The material photographed has been obtained from numerous different individuals. The oldest photo is of a Norway maple from 1909.

Each photo is both a botanical document and a memory of a moment in nature. The exhibition invites the viewer to look at the small details to see a familiar plant from a new perspective.
