We are delighted to welcome the winner of the 2025 Sibelius Violin Competition, Sueye Park, who impressed the jury with her confident sound. The deeply moving power and beauty of Sibelius’s blue-and-white musical language are crystallized in the most recorded violin concerto of the 20th century, elevating the role of the soloist to truly astonishing dimensions, into a world of technical virtuosity and profound expression. Sibelius’s Third Symphony, which exudes Viennese classical clarity, and the expressive overture by Louise Farrenc, a powerful figure in 19th-century Parisian music, are interpreted under the direction of the versatile Jukka Untamala.
